Story

Once, a weary traveller was walking across a vast desert. His feet burned, his
throat ached, and the endless horizon mocked him with silence. He hadn’t seen
another soul for hours, and every step felt heavier than the last.

As the sun dipped below the dunes, he sat down exhausted, whispering, “I can’t
go any further.”

Just then, an old nomad appeared in the distance, walking with surprising ease,
humming a tune. The traveller shouted, “How do you keep walking in this heat?
Aren’t you tired?”

The old man smiled. “Of course I’m tired,” he said. “But I’ve learned not to stare
at the sand beneath my feet. I look at the next dune, the next patch of shade, the
next shimmer of hope. That’s how the desert becomes a road.”

The traveller frowned. “But what if the hope is an illusion?”
The old man chuckled. “Then at least it carried me forward long enough to find
the real one.”

That night, as they walked together under a blanket of stars, the traveller felt
something shift inside. He realized optimism wasn’t about denying struggle — it
was the quiet choice to keep moving despite it.

When dawn finally broke, painting the sand gold, he smiled.
He wasn’t sure how far he still had to go, but one thing was clear — the desert no
longer looked endless. It looked alive.
